Various sources are reporting that a manufacturing error has caused a delay in the launch of the much anticipated Palm Treo 680. Maybe this was the real reason why Amazon decided to pull the price off their website.

Apparently, the issue surrounds the internal microphone not being connected. The manufacturer had to take as many as 144,000 units back and connect the internal microphone. No official confirmation on this report.

In general, when buying new mobile phone, don’t be too lazy to call your friend to verify the availability of the most important function – voice calling.
